About BirrQuotes

BirrQuotes is a calm reading space for beneficial quotes from the Salaaf as-Saaleheen and trustworthy contemporary scholars. Every quote is enriched with commentary grounded in the Qur’an and authentic Sunnah, and every reader is invited to reflect, save, and discuss with adab.

The platform is not a fatwa site. It does not issue rulings. It is a slow, deliberate space that elevates the words of people of knowledge and gives the reader the tools to act on them.

Why BirrQuotes

The internet has no shortage of religious content. What it lacks is context. A quote stripped of its source, its setting, and the meaning the speaker intended can mislead even a sincere reader. BirrQuotes was built to do the opposite: every quote carries its citation, every commentary ties back to the Qur’an or authentic Sunnah, and every discussion is moderated by people of knowledge.

Adab (etiquette) we ask of every reader

Content sources

Quotes attributed to the Salaaf come from recognised primary sources — Siyar A’laam an-Nubalaa, Hilyat al-Awliyaa’, the Musnads, the Six Books, and the published Fataawa collections of contemporary scholars. Quotes from contemporary scholars are drawn from their official channels only. Where a citation is uncertain, the quote is not published.

Moderation

Discussions are subject to admin moderation. New members’ first three posts start in a pending state so our moderators can verify that the contributor understands the adab expected here. Repeat offenders are warned, then muted, then banned. All actions are recorded in an audit log.

Report a mistake

If you find a misattribution, a citation error, or content that contradicts the Qur’an or authentic Sunnah, please use the “Report” action on the quote or discussion. Our moderators review every report.

BaarakAllahu feek for reading. If you have benefited, share the platform with someone who would benefit too.
